Smart measure is very handy tool that calculates measurement info such as distance, height or width about any object. You can learn the height of the buildings, objects or people. Or you can learn how far away they are from you. Smart measure only needs some calibration and help of you to find the correct position of the object of interest.
At this point you can ask that how this can be possible? How can it measure the distance or height just using the camera? Well, actually the answer is simple. It just uses the rotation angle info of your device and do trigonometric calculation. So, here, you should carefully set the height of your device (You can set it relative to your height as explained in the app).
Second important point here to obtain accurate results is pointing the ground. You should point the camera towards the ground, not directly towards the object.
How to Use
Before using Smart Measure, you should be sure that your device is at the same height as set in the settings section. There are two heights that you should set. First one is the device’s height from the ground. Second is the building’s height if you are not directly on the ground. These settings should carefully be entered before the measurement.
If you adjust the heights, then you can start to get distance of any object by matching the pointer of the camera with the base point of the object. You can anhor that point by pressing the shutter. After that, if you want to know about the height of that object, press the height icon and point the head of the object and press the shutter again.
