My Tracks is a useful app from Google that allows you to record and share your GPS tracks.
Have you ever wonder your path, speed, distance and elevation while you walk, run, bike or do anything else outdoors? My Tracks give this information and statistics to you. The app also allows you to view your data live, annotate your path, and hear periodic voice announcements of your progress while recording.
Being social is also considered. You can share your data online via Google+, Facebook, or Twitter. Sharing by using Google Maps, Google Fusion Tables, or Google Docs is another option. My Tracks also allows you to share data with GPX, KML, CSV or TCX file.
GPS sensor of your device is used to record geographic and velocity statistics. You can also sync My Tracks with third-party biometric sensors:
– Zephyr HxM Bluetooth heart rate monitor
– Polar WearLink Bluetooth heart rate monitor
– ANT+ heart rate and speed distance monitors (these require an ANT+ compatible phone)
by the way you can also track your heart rate.
My Tracks is an open source project and you can contribute it from http://mytracks.googlecode.com
